City have released their new kit, paying tribute to the team that won promotion to the First Division back in 1999, 25 years ago. City were 2-0 down to Gillingham in the play-off final that season but staged a stirring comeback and won on penalties to forever change the trajectory of the club; had they not won the game, it is impossible to say if they would have received the level of investment that has seen them dominate the Premier League in recent years.

PUMA's kit is a sustainable one, too, with the replica shirts made using RE:FIBRE, which uses recycled textile waste to make new materials. There are authentic and replica versions, with the latter offering a more relaxed fit and the former similar to what will be worn on matchdays by Erling Haaland and co.
PUMA & Man CityWHAT PAUL DICKOV SAID
Dickov scored against Gillingham and played a key role in their kit launch, telling the official website: “It’s fantastic to see this year’s away kit revealed today.
“The 1999 Play-Off final victory still remains a special moment for myself and City fans around the world and I know the kit from that day is remembered by those who were there and beyond.
“It’s a wonderful gesture by the club and PUMA to commemorate the anniversary with this year’s away kit.”
