Southampton fans likely have a few favourites from their promotion-winning season in 2011/2012, but Kelvin Davis stands out more than most.
The former goalkeeper is not only the current assistant manager, but he also made 298 appearances for the Saints, and missed just one league game as the club were promoted from League One and the Championship in successive seasons.
He was a reliable figure between the sticks and one display at Elland Road in March 2012 – a career highlight – has now sparked a discussion about the 43-year-old on Twitter.
Supporters are reminiscing about the ex-player, with one suggesting he was just as good off the pitch as on it.
Most, however, are waxing lyrical about some of the saves he made against Leeds in a match that Southampton won 1-0, particularly focusing on a scramble which saw the home side twice hit the bar before Davis kept out a third strike.
Some fans think it was the best performance he made in a Southampton shirt, but it was far from his only good performance that season as he kept 18 clean sheets in the Championship.

Ralph Hasenhuttl could do with such a dependable figure now, as he made a big change to bring Alex McCarthy into the side in place of the struggling Angus Gunn, who had conceded 29 goals in 13 games.
However, a McCarthy mistake allowed Sebastien Haller to score at the weekend – leading to criticism from fans – and that shows the goalkeeping position isn’t as strong as it could be at St.Mary’s, as one fan alluded to.
