Paris Saint-Germain's Gianluigi Donnarumma suffered horrific injuries after being kicked in the face by Monaco's Wilfried Singo in a Ligue 1 clash.

Around the 13th minute mark, the Italian goalkeeper came off his line as he tried to stop Singo from attempting a shot on goal at the edge of the penalty box. The Ivory Coast international tried to jump over Donnarumma, but he accidentally kicked him in his face leaving the Italian with deep cuts on his right cheekbone.

Donnarumma looked dazed after the horrific challenge as he first received medical attention on the pitch. He was eventually subbed off in the 20th minute as Matvey Sofanov replaced the star custodian.

As the game resumed after the goalkeeper's departure, PSG broke the deadlock as Desire Doue found the back of the net from Achraf Hakimi's assist. Monaco, though, restored parity eight minutes after the break as Salim Ben Seghir converted a penalty. The Parisians would eventually claim a 4-2 win.
WHAT NEXT FOR PSG?
The Ligue 1 champions will play their last game of 2024 on Sunday as they take on Lens in a French Cup clash before the winter break. Donnarumma will have ample time to recover before the club's Trophee des Champions final fixture against Monaco again on January 5.
